Preparing your trip to the Principality requires precise information. It is fundamental to clarify that the permit to reside in the country is not legally called "Working Holiday", but rather Temporary Immigration Authorization. This legal alternative allows you to generate income during high-demand seasons, enjoy the Pyrenees environment, and take advantage of your stay to explore the outstanding local academic offer, without the restrictions typical of a traditional tourist visa.

1. Nationalities and Age Range
The Andorran youth mobility program applies exclusively to citizens of: Canada, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Malta, Norway, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
For all these nationalities, the established age limit is 18 to 30 years, inclusive, at the time of applying. The Immigration Service strictly requires the applicant to be within this age range to approve the file. Meeting this age requirement opens the door to legally work during high tourist demand seasons, immerse yourself in the life of the Pyrenees, and discover firsthand the interesting local academic offer.
Transversal flight requirement
For all the mentioned nationalities, it is a transversal and indispensable requirement to demonstrate the possession of a return ticket to the country of origin, or else, to reliably prove having sufficient additional economic funds in the bank account to acquire said ticket at the end of the program.
2. Quotas and Application Calendar
Calendar management varies drastically depending on the applicant's passport. It is essential to accurately monitor the opening dates to secure your place and achieve a smooth process:
For Germany: 100 annual quotas. Opening according to official availability (no fixed date stipulated).
For Canada, South Korea, and Norway: Unlimited quotas. Available continuously from January 1 to December 31.
For Ireland: 200 annual quotas. Available from the beginning of the annual cycle until vacancies are exhausted.
For Iceland: 100 annual quotas. Release of 20 appointments on the 1st of each month (starting January 1).
For Malta: 200 annual quotas. Opening from April 1.
For the United Kingdom: 100 annual quotas. Enabled only in 3-week windows during the months of March, October, and February.
3. Application Process (Visa Advice)
To obtain the Temporary Immigration Authorization, it is vital to strictly comply with the application channels assigned to your passport.
Germany, Iceland, and the United Kingdom: Mandatory in-person appointment at the corresponding embassy or consulate for biometric capture and prior authorization; subsequent sending of the file to the Principality.
Canada, South Korea, and Norway: Direct application without pre-registration, available online, by postal mail, or in-person at the Immigration offices in Andorra.
Ireland and Malta: Mandatory pre-registration by email. After receiving official confirmation, the file is delivered by mail or in person in Andorra.
Completing each stage orderly, from pre-registration to the final delivery of the file, will avoid delays in the resolution of your procedure, ensuring your legal residence in the European territory.
