The process for obtaining the Working Holiday in Finland stands out for its accessibility and organization. Unlike other European programs, this visa offers total flexibility for eligible candidates. You can check all the details and receive assistance on Volare's Finland Working Holiday page.

Unlimited slots and year-round application
Unlike the Dutch system, which imposed highly restrictive limits for nationalities such as Australians or New Zealanders, the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) does not establish a system of annual maximum quotas for any of the countries with active bilateral agreements.
As there are unlimited slots for citizens of Australia, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand, visa availability is total. This allows applicants to submit their applications uninterruptedly at any time during the calendar year, completely eliminating the risk of running out of vacancies and the need to compete fiercely during specific opening dates.
Application process via Enter Finland
Unlike the Dutch system, which required complex procedures or email pre-registrations, the Migri process is highly standardized. The procedure is mainly carried out through the official Enter Finland portal, following these mandatory steps:
Electronic application: The applicant must create a profile, complete the form, and upload the required documentation. At this stage, it is essential to include proof of a return ticket or, failing that, proof of additional funds to purchase one.
In-person appointment: After submitting the digital application and making the corresponding payments, it is a legal requirement to schedule an in-person appointment at a Finnish diplomatic mission (Embassy or Consulate) or at a VFS Global center.
During this appearance, the authorities will verify the original passport and capture biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) necessary for the issuance of the physical residence permit card. This step is essential for the authentication of the applicant's identity.
