Successfully completing the Working Holiday Visa (WHV) process requires a rigorous organization of documentation. The requirements are divided into two critical stages: the documents needed for the digital application with IRCC and the mandatory supporting documents that must be physically presented upon landing in the country.

Documentation for Application (Digital Phase)
Once you receive an invitation to apply, you have a limited amount of time to upload the following files to the official portal:
Valid Passport: The document must be valid for the entire intended duration of your stay. If your passport expires earlier, the border official will limit your work permit to that date.
Curriculum Vitae (CV): A summary of your educational and professional background adapted to the Canadian format.
Family Information Form: Technical documents (IMM 5707 or IMM 5645) detailing the information of your immediate family members.
Police Certificates: It is mandatory to present criminal record checks from your country of origin and any other nation where you have lived for six consecutive months or more since the age of 18.
Digital Photo: A photograph that meets the technical specifications for clarity and background required by IRCC.
Biometrics: Proof of payment and capture of fingerprints and a photograph taken at an authorized center.
Medical Exam: This requirement is conditional and must only be presented if your travel history or future occupation in sectors such as health or education requires it.
Mandatory Requirements upon Entering Canada
Having an approved visa does not guarantee entry; at the port of entry (POE), you must demonstrate that you meet the maintenance conditions:
Bank Statement: A recent official document proving possession of a minimum of CAD 2,500 to cover your initial expenses.
Flight Ticket: You must have a return ticket or, failing that, demonstrate that you possess the extra funds necessary to purchase one at the end of your stay.
Comprehensive Medical Insurance: A private health policy that includes hospitalization and repatriation, valid for the entire duration of your stay.
