Applying for the Denmark Working Holiday requires an administrative investment divided into three mandatory stages. Below, we present a comparative table of official fees according to your nationality and the technical explanation for each item.

1. Official Fees Table by Category
Category | Nationalities | SIRI Fee (Case Order ID) | Consular Fee (ApplyVisa) | VFS Fee (Biometrics) |
1. Latin America | Argentina and Chile | 410 € (3.060 DKK) | 250 € (1.875 DKK) | ~106 € |
2. English Speaking | Australia, Canada, NZ | 410 € (3.060 DKK) | 250 € (1.875 DKK) | ~30 € |
3. Asia | Japan and South Korea | 410 € (3.060 DKK) | 250 € (1.875 DKK) | ~23 € |
What does each fee cover?
These three fees represent the legal costs of processing your residence permit in the Kingdom of Denmark. The SIRI Fee (Case Order ID) is the fee charged by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration for the study and processing of your file. The Consular Fee (ApplyVisa) is the fee collected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark for the diplomatic management of your application. Finally, the VFS Fee (Biometrics) is the payment for the logistics service of the external center where your fingerprints and photograph are taken; its value varies significantly by country due to local operating costs.
2. Miscellaneous Expenses (Not included in the table above)
There are other management costs that, although not paid directly to the Danish authorities on the visa portal, are essential for your application folder to be accepted:
Hague Apostilles: This is the international validation of your public documents, such as your criminal record certificate. The cost depends on your country of origin (approx. 15 € - 30 €).
Certified Translations: If your bank or criminal certificates are not in English or Danish, you must pay a certified translator to translate them into the required language. Estimate between 40 € and 80 €.
Airfare: This is the most significant logistics expense. Depending on how far in advance you book and the route, a ticket can range between 900 € and 1,400 €.
Courier Service: This is the cost of shipping your passport from the consulate to your private home, valued between 15 € and 25 €.
Prior Legalizations: In certain cases, before the apostille, stamps or seals from local ministries are required (approx. 5 € - 10 €).
Biometric Photos: If the photos taken at VFS do not meet the standard or you need additional printed copies for the physical folder, estimate about 10 €.
3. Medical Insurance Consideration
It is essential to remember that for your visa to be approved, you must present a mandatory Medical Insurance covering 365 days of your stay. This expense must be considered independently from the previous tables, as its price varies depending on the private provider and the chosen coverage level (you can estimate between 350 € and 600 € per year).
