Having the correct documentation is 90% of the success in your application with SIRI. For 2026, requirements have been standardized, but each region maintains critical particularities. Use this guide to check off your documents before your biometrics appointment.

đ Documentation by Category and Region
1. Latin America (Argentina and Chili)
This category requires special attention to passport integrity and financial solvency.
Form:Â Physical WH1 form, printed and signed by hand (online portal submission is prohibited).
Proof of Payment:Â SIRI Case Fee receipt (DKK 3,060) and Embassy Fee receipt (DKK 1,875).
Passport:Â Color copy of all pages, including front/back covers and blank pages.
Financial Solvency: Total of DKK 20,000 (~âŹ2,700). The bank statement must be less than 30 days old and must be physically signed and stamped by the bank.
Medical Insurance: Mandatory for 12 months (minimum coverage of âŹ30,000), including hospitalization and repatriation of remains, issued in English or Danish.
Criminal Record:Â No physical certificate is required; it is replaced by the Solemn Declaration integrated into the WH1 form.
(Australia)
Form:Â WH1/2 completed online via the SIRI portal.
Proof of Payment:Â SIRI Case Fee and Embassy Fee receipts.
Passport:Â Full copy of all pages (cover to cover).
Financial Solvency: Total of DKK 23,000 (~âŹ3,100). Bank statement < 30 days old, exclusively in the applicant's name.
Medical Insurance:Â Not mandatory for visa approval due to a reciprocal health agreement, although SIRI recommends obtaining coverage for repatriation.
(New Zealand)
Form:Â WH1/2 completed online.
Proof of Payment:Â SIRI Case Fee and Embassy Fee receipts.
Passport:Â Full copy of all pages (cover to cover).
Financial Solvency: Total of DKK 29,000 (~âŹ3,900). Bank statement < 30 days old, exclusively in the applicant's name.
Medical Insurance:Â Mandatory, including hospitalization and repatriation coverage..
(Canada & South Korea)
Form:Â WH1/2 completed online.
Proof of Payment:Â SIRI Case Fee and Embassy Fee receipts.
Passport:Â Full copy of all pages (cover to cover).
Financial Solvency: Total of DKK 20,000 (~âŹ2,700). Bank statement < 30 days old.
Medical Insurance:Â Mandatory, including hospitalization and repatriation coverage.
Note for South Korea:Â The application must be submitted from South Korea.
(Japan)
Form:Â WH1/2 completed online or on paper.
Proof of Payment:Â Exempt from the SIRI Case Fee and the Embassy Fee (only the VFS service fee applies).
Passport:Â Full copy of all pages (cover to cover).
Financial Solvency: Total of DKK 20,000 (~âŹ2,700). Bank statement < 30 days old.
Medical Insurance:Â Mandatory, including hospitalization and repatriation coverage.
Special Category: Academic Planning
Remember that your WHV is not just for working; it is a training opportunity. When preparing your documents, consider including in your personal folder:
Letters of intent for schools:Â If you plan to take Danish courses or technical training, have copies of your previous degrees (translated) ready to speed up enrollment.
Academic Offer 2026:Â Take advantage of the 6 months of study allowed. Many language centers in Copenhagen and Aarhus open quarterly spots.
General Presentation Tips
Scan Quality:Â SIRI rejects blurry documents or those where the passport corners are cut off.
Statement Currency:Â Even if the bank issues it in local currency, ensure the amount comfortably exceeds the equivalent of 15,000 DKK according to the daily exchange rate.
Order:Â Present the documents in the exact order of this checklist to facilitate the work of the officer at VFS or the consulate.
