Preparing the application file for the Argentina Working Holiday Visa requires meticulous attention to detail. The file required by the Argentine authorities is considerably more extensive than those of other European programs, and the lack of a single document can result in the rescheduling of the consular interview.

Group A: General requirements for most nations
This group includes citizens of Germany, Austria, Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Sweden. For these applicants, the standard documentation is as follows:
Valid Passport: It must have a minimum validity covering the entire stay and contain blank pages for stamping.
FSV Form: The visa application form must be fully completed and signed.
Photograph: A 4x4 size photo with a white background, front view, and without glasses.
Proof of Solvency: Demonstration of sufficient funds (minimum of USD/EUR 2,500) through bank statements in the holder's name.
Criminal Records: Official certificate from the last 3 years, duly apostilled and, if applicable, translated into Spanish.
Medical Insurance: Policy with a minimum coverage of €30,000 including hospitalization and repatriation for 12 months.
Motivation Letter: A signed letter explaining the reasons for the trip and the interest in cultural exchange.
Fee Receipt: Proof of payment corresponding to the visa processing fee.
Group B: Nationalities with academic requirements (Australia and Portugal)
In addition to all the documents mentioned in Group A, citizens of Australia and Portugal must prove their educational background due to the reciprocity clauses of their agreements:
Academic Accreditation: It is mandatory to present a higher education degree or, failing that, an academic transcript proving the successful completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate university studies. This document must be duly apostilled and translated.
Group C: Nationalities with medical requirements (France, Japan, and South Korea)
For citizens of France, Japan, and South Korea, the consular file adds a specific health requirement in addition to the base requirements of Group A:
Medical Certificate: A general physical fitness certificate issued by a health professional in the country of origin must be presented. This document must state that the applicant does not suffer from infectious diseases and is fit to carry out the program.
Note on Fees: In the case of Japan, France, and South Korea, the proof of fee payment is only presented if applicable according to the current gratuity status of the agreement.
Travel logistics and return ticket
Regardless of the group the applicant belongs to, it is mandatory to prove the return plan. The Argentine consular authorities require the applicant to hold a confirmed return ticket to their country of origin or habitual residence. In case of not having the ticket at the time of the interview, it must be reliably demonstrated that the applicant possesses sufficient additional funds to purchase it at the end of the 12-month stay.
