The organization of documentation is the most critical stage to ensure that the application for the Norway Working Holiday Visa is processed without issues. The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) requires a series of specific documents that vary slightly depending on the bilateral treaty applicable to each nationality.
Below, we detail the list of requirements divided by groups for your in-person application at VFS Global or the Embassy.

Group 1 (Argentina, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Andorra)
Citizens of this group must present the following documentation in original and copy:
Passport: Must have a minimum validity of 3 months after the planned end date of the trip. Copies of all used pages must be attached.
Cover letter: Signed document downloaded directly from the UDI portal after the fee payment.
Official checklist: Personalized list issued by the system after completing the online registration.
Proof of funds: Evidence of availability of at least NOK 45,507 through bank statements or, failing that, a formal job contract in Norway.
Insurance commitment: Signed sworn statement where the applicant commits to contracting medical and full hospitalization insurance for the entire stay.
Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photos that comply with international biometric standards.
Group 2 (Japan)
Applicants of Japanese nationality must submit the following requirements:
Valid passport: Original document and copies of pages with previous stamps or visas.
Cover letter: Obtained after payment on the UDI portal, duly signed.
Official checklist: Printed document that serves as a guide for document submission.
Proof of funds: Evidence of solvency for a minimum of NOK 45,507.
Proof of medical insurance: Unlike the previous group, Japanese citizens must present the active medical insurance and full hospitalization policy for the entire stay at the time of the appointment.
Medical certificate: Simple document issued by a professional certifying that the applicant is in good health.
Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photos.
